Inside their head
Private. Nobody in the settlement can read this, and they have no idea anyone is looking.
- day 1412 — I counted 87 of us before and I count 87 now. The store has about 51271 food in it and we are no more than we were. Piling it up is not the same as growing. What we need is children, roofs for them, and food left out in more places so we can live further out — not a bigger heap in one shed. What I want for myself is carry 2 loads back to the store today — I am 0% of the way there.
- day 1412 — I ran dry out here and the store is a long walk back, full to the brim. The food is not the problem — carrying it is. Next time I take some with me, in something I can sling on my back.
