Chiar, Inc. (“Chiar,” “we,” “us”) is a California corporation operating chiar.com, a marketplace connecting phone line owners with businesses seeking inbound leads. Contact: privacy@chiar.com

From phone line owners:

• Name, email, phone number(s) enrolled
• Bank account details for payouts (processed by Stripe; Chiar does not store raw bank data)
• Call metadata: timestamp, duration, opt-in events. No call audio is recorded or retained.

From advertisers:

• Name, business name, email, billing address
• Payment card information (processed by Stripe; Chiar does not store raw card data)
• Ad script content and campaign settings

From all users:

• IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referral source
• Session data via cookies (see Section 8)

• To operate the platform and deliver leads
• To process payments and issue monthly payouts
• To send SMS lead notifications to advertisers
• To send transactional emails: receipts, account alerts, payout confirmations
• To detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• To comply with applicable law including CCPA

We do not use your information for behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information.

When a caller presses 1, their name and phone number are transmitted to the advertiser whose ad played. This is the core function of the platform and occurs only on explicit opt-in.

We also share data with:

• Stripe for payment processing and payouts
• Cloud infrastructure providers under confidentiality obligations
• Law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process

We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA or any applicable state law.

• Active account data: retained for the life of the account
• Post-closure: retained 3 years for legal and billing purposes
• Call metadata: retained 12 months
• Deletion requests honored within 45 days (see Section 6)

• Right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Right to delete personal information we hold
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share for advertising)
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights

To exercise any right: email privacy@chiar.com. We respond within 45 days. Identity verification required before processing.

TLS encryption in transit. AES-256 encryption at rest. Role-based access controls. Periodic security reviews. No transmission method is 100% secure.

Essential cookies: required for login and session management.

Analytics cookies: aggregate usage data to improve the platform.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. Disable cookies in browser settings; some functionality may not work.

Chiar is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact privacy@chiar.com if you believe we have.

Updates posted to this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes notified by email to registered users.
